Originally built in 2005, we recently had the opportunity to give this drum a bath and freshen it up for it's new owner who found it used out in the world. ***10” snares REALLY wish that they had 8 lugs instead of 6. Takes ‘em to a whole new place! No more tubby “Ponk” sounds; now it’s real! 4x10; plied maple; shiny wax. ***
So here’s how the story goes: Dude finds used drums that are in need of a serious restoration. Dude buys drums and then reaches out to drum company for some help. Drum company takes in the drums and restores them to their former glory. Drum company is excited to see their drums in the hands of a new, loving owner. Dude is excited to have beautifully restored drums. And they all lived HAPPILY EVER AFTER! 7x10, 7½x12, 14x14, 16x16, 20x20, 6x14; plied maple; satin wax. 4x10; plied maple; shiny wax.
For all of our Topeka, KS friends (or travelers coming through) be sure to stop by the Alice C. Sabatini Gallery at the TOPEKA & SHAWNEE COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY and check out their “Sounds Like Art!” exhibit. We provided an “exploded snare drum” and a hands-on hardware shell for the exhibit. Our pieces, along with many others, will be on display until August 19th.
The exhibit is perfect for little hands to touch and make music, as well as big hands (and minds) to learn and experience instruments and music. CHECK IT OUT! :D #drums #customdrums #artexhibit Yup. Here it is. An All-Glorious Mahogany Compact Nesting Kit with tons of modifications just the way the customer wants it! Starting with shallower mounted toms, this package is designed to where the 10" tom fits into the 13" tom then the 10" snare sits on top while they go into the 16" tom. Next, the 15" snare sits on the floor tom to go into the 20" bass, leaving the 13" snare for a separate bag. (Or the 13” goes inside, leaving the 15” in a separate bag. Which snare do you want at the gig tonight?) Whew! PLUS you see here two Octopus Boom Arms and two Octopus Arms plus the 15" snare is mounted between the toms and a remaining bracket on the bass hold a boom arm for a cowbell. More details include: a couple of cymbal arms clamped onto the extra-long TreeHouse Floor Tom Legs, the capacity to "peg-leg" the floor tom by clamping it to a cymbal arm on the bass along with using two legs, a double-tom stand holding two side snares with another cymbal arm and did I mention Tube Lugs all around? 5½x10, 6¾x13, 12½x16, 18¼x20, 4¼x15, 4¼x10, 4¼x13; vintage mahogany; satin wax.
