Stripes
Need a little ZigZag in your world? Maybe a swath of color to show your national pride? You've got options!
Using a series of steps that produce a unique, "hand-made" appearance, you can get your TreeHouse project with separations of colors all you like. It's time-consuming and pricey, but will say something.
With the standard approach, we start by drawing your lines, then tracing them with a razor to cut through the wood grain a little. This is then followed by a burning tool which traces the razor cut, effective making a small trough with singed edges. Sanding then mellows the boundaries to a nice edge. Then aniline dye is applied, being careful to color within the lines! As the aniline spreads, it's caught in the trough to stay tidy. Next come oil and wax, then you're ready to be you!
Fee structures start as numbers of dollars per line of separation, but custom projects, like Brizeus below, are bid per project.
