​We were thinking of re-naming "TreeHouse Custom Drums" to "TreeHouse Custom Drums and Frames." Our very own Shane is peeking out of the prototype of a customer's special request: 6 black tunable drums on a stick where the drums can nest for transport. After weeks of measuring/trial/error/success (we clocked around 100 hours of R&D on this one -- even checking the prototype in the alley to make sure everything got high enough), the final result of this one-of-a-kind "Drum Flower" checked all the boxes. The sizes worked out that two grouping of drums stack, so the whole thing smooshes down to about the space of an 8x20 bass drum + a stand. ​Simple, straight ahead Jazz 3-pc. This build was for a surprise Christmas gift. FUN! 8x12, 14x14, 14x18; plied maple; satin wax. 

​When you have 10 TreeHouse concert toms, you don’t want your foot to get jealous… so this little thumper is now providing some additional low end to this customer’s set up! Super cool! 6x18; plied maple; satin wax.

​You've heard of "Flame This" or "Quilted That," but have you heard of the kind of figuring in wood called “Beeswing?" The only place we've seen this drum's kind of figuring called that is on some high-end custom acoustic guitars. Anyway, this is a Solid, one-ply Mahogany shell with hunks of metal on it you can whack with a stick. 6½x14; solid one-ply mahogany; satin wax.

​When set up for display, this oozy thin maple 8x14 wears a Big Fat Snare Drum dampener to push this thin, rounded bearing edged thumper down even lower! 8 lugs -- getting more mass outta the way vs. 10 lugs -- and warm New Old Stock wooden hoops round out this beatkeeper. 8x14; plied maple; satin wax.

​Packing 50% more maple (almost) than our standard 10-ply maple snare, this little guy BARKS out, singing with all 15-plies of maple in full force! 5x14; plied maple; satin wax.
