Made of 12-ply maple approximately 5/16" thick, these scraps are great for DIYers who want to get some skin in the game of making or repairing their own drums and folks who want extra deep bass drum hoops. These are raw, unfinished scraps, all between 5¼" and 5⅞" deep. This means you'd have enough material to run a test cut, then cut out two of your own 1¾" or 2" hoops or three 1½" hoops. Varieties on the theme run that you could get 3 various depths or a normal batter hoop with an extra deep resonant hoop or maybe even 4 shorter hoops.
Most of these scraps will need to be leveled to clean away tool marks and flatten at least one edge and may have pencil marks to be sanded away before finishing. They are in-round, free of damage and ply separation, and offer a chance to reduce your cost of new hoops if you're willing to put in a little shop time. Quantities are limited and will vary -- we could sell out at any time, so feel free to ask first if you have any questions.
