​OOH!  OOH!  These are SUPERCOOL!! Inspired by a customer's desire for the smallest, lightest way to play a great kit at a jazz gig, these sizes showed themselves to check off all the boxes! The mounted nests into the floor, they both nest into the bass. Ever the experimentalist, I decided to make two: one with 8-ply shells & 2.3mm hoops and another with 6-ply shells & 1.6mm hoops (this drumset) just to get an idea of how different/same they sound and to see how far apart they'd be on the scale. This one weighs in at 18 lbs for the three nested drums, versus 21.9 lbs for the 8-ply/2.3mm hooped version! Oh, and I worked up a couple of optional 12" snare drums that match -- a "Real" snare and a new "Unreal" one-headed snare with wires under the head (shown with this drumset).  It's SHOCKING how big these drums sound! 6x10, 7x13, 8x16, 3¼x12; plied maple; satin wax.

​It's nice to see folks get just what they want!  Here's a little deeper floor tom/bass/snare with an Upgraded Strainer/Butt + the ability to suspend or use legs on the floor tom, plus a special bonus to get the snare just where he wants it. 8x12, 11x16, 18x20, 5x14; plied maple; matte wax.
