When a high, crispy snare is called for that still has body and punch, 4x10 is the magic combination. The only way to get 8 lugs per side is with the more expensive Single-Flanged hoops, but they add dryness similar to die cast. This one's decked out with standard chrome hardware over "Cauldron Brown" dye. 4x10; plied maple; satin wax.
