These hoops are finished with oil/wax and ready to install and play.

Finish Options

Natural w/Oil & Wax -- Sanded smooth, then left Natural and sealed with oil and burnished wax, these are ready to install right away.

Dyed w/Oil & Wax -- Sanded plus colored with dye, then sealed with oil and burnished wax, these are ready to install right away. Choose from Popular Colors, or Contact Us for custom options.

Notches

Since wood hoops are thicker than traditional metal hoops, it is often necessary for NOTCHES to be cut into the hoop so that the mounted tom arm or floor tom legs have clearance to fit inside their bracket(s). These wood hoops' outer diameter surface stand about 15/16" from the shell on most drums. If you think you need notches, choose one of the following options.

Add One Notch (Optional Add-On for Mounted Tom Reso Hoops) -- If needed, add one notch to accommodate mounted tom arm. This will be centered between the lugs and is usually used on the resonant side of your drum. If the end of your tom arm rod extends up to the rim, you may need a notch for the top too.

Add Three Notches (Recommended Add-On for Floor Tom Reso Hoops) -- Add three notches for the resonant side of a floor tom to allow floor tom legs to adjust smoothly without wood hoop interference. NOTE: If this option is chosen, we will reach out to you after purchase for detailed measurements. We'll guide you through what to do, but please be prepared to measure carefully: no refunds will be given for hoops with notches in mis-instructed locations.
