Configurations Chapter One: The 6061 Lug Itself
Here’s a layout of all the practical ways 6061 Lugs can be put together. As we make more drums with these possibilities, we’ll add more examples here so you can see how these parts can fit on your drums!
Configurations Chapter Two: Positioning 6061 Lugs on Drums
Lugs pictured above can be ordered à la carte for your own DIY project or retro-fit. If we’re making you a drum with these lugs, we’ll need a bit more info. That’s where the last part of the part numbers, the, "Style of Installation," comes into play.
Tube Position or Reveal:
Style of Installation:
- ST = Standard Reveal
- SH = Short Reveal
- FL = Flush
- TU = No reveal (for use with Tupans)
- CN = Centered Tube
- OC = Off-Center (specify)
- CU = Custom (specify)
Style of Installation:
- Concert = just one Lug for batter head like Concert Toms
- Split = two Lugs, vertically aligned, one facing the batter head, one facing the resonant head
- Split Offset = two Lugs, vertically offset, one facing the batter head, one facing the resonant head
- Centered = the Tube is centered between the batter and resonant heads
- Off-Center = the Tube is closer to one head or the other: specify which and if Node at top or bottom
- Alternating = Lugs’ Nodes are “flipped” in their installation one after the other
- Custom = what can you come up with?
Configurations Chapter Three: 6061 Hardware on Drums
You can choose to have any of the 6061 hardware installed on your new drum order. We’ve had folks think it was an all-or-none affair to have these new bits on their drums: that only applies of you’re going for a 100% Made in the USA build. If you just want these lugs instead of some chrome-plated thing, or if you like it all except you want different mounting brackets or standard spurs, we’re good! Let us know what you have in mind!
